My Story
I grew up in Brooklyn.
I served in the United States Navy.
I spent years in engineering, automation, leadership, and maintenance management.
Along the way I learned to solve problems, lead teams, improve systems, and navigate challenges.
But one lesson took me much longer to learn.
Most people underestimate the value of their own experience.
I certainly did.
For years I viewed my knowledge, lessons, obstacles, and expertise through a single lens:
My career.
Eventually I began asking:
What if everything I’ve learned could become something more?
That question led me down a path of reflection, discovery, and ultimately a mission to help other professionals uncover the opportunities hidden inside their own experience.
Learning To Solve Problems
For most of my career, my job was solving problems.
Machines.
Processes.
Systems.
Teams.
Operations.
When something wasn’t working, the goal wasn’t to panic.
The goal was to slow down, understand the situation, identify patterns, and uncover the root cause.
Over time I realized something.
The same principle applies to people.
Many professionals believe they’re stuck.
But often the problem isn’t a lack of ability.
The problem is that they haven’t recognized the value they’ve already built.
The clues are already there.
The lessons are already there.
The patterns are already there.
They simply haven’t stepped back long enough to see them.
The Pattern I Couldn't Ignore
Throughout my career I kept noticing the same thing.
Talented people underestimated themselves.
Experienced people dismissed what they knew.
Capable people assumed everyone else had the same knowledge, skills, and perspective they did.
They couldn’t see the value because they lived with it every day.
And I realized I had been doing the same thing.
I had spent years accumulating knowledge, solving problems, overcoming obstacles, and learning lessons.
Yet I had never stopped to ask:
What if these experiences could create value outside my career?
That question changed how I viewed everything.
It changed how I viewed my experience.
It changed how I viewed entrepreneurship.
Most importantly, it changed how I viewed contribution.
